A little fun Zentangle project

My project for the day was making this little zentangle pic. It is 5x7 and I will frame it in a black frame. This is the fourth one I have made in the past 2 yrs. I will be donating it for a door prize at the quilt retreat I am attending this weekend.
If you have not tried zentangling, give it a try it is so fun and freeing! There is lots of instructions and ideas all over the web. Pintrest was my inspiration today :-)  I used Sharpie black fine point pen, and also their black fine point marker.
I should have some show and tell next week from the retreat. I have lots of projects to work on, most of them are quite simple so I hope to get tons done!

Not one, but two done!

Recognize this panel from the previous post? I got it all quilted and bound, it was so much fun to do some custom quilting on this! Here are a few close up pic's, thanks for taking a peak :-)

And this simple quilt pattern made up so cute with sweet little lion and bear prints. The back was a real challenge in that I used almost every inch of fabric left from the front! Next week I should be able to get these delivered to the local fabric store for their samples.  Airtex batting and glide thread was used on both of these quilts.

I've been busy

OMG I didn't realize I hadn't blogged this year yet! I have been busy making things but I have not finished a lot yet. Finished as in the quilts are not quilted yet, and I always like to show them all quilted. I usually spend a good part of January and February piecing and then do the quilting, however today I will be doing a bit of quilting on my longarm. I have 2 tops that I pieced for a local fabric store that I want to get finished and to them soon.
First up I took this panel
and made it into this. By cutting it all apart and adding some sashings and a nice border I think it is so much cuter than the way it was.
And I was busy knitting these socks for Shirley-thanks for the order Shirley!
