Customer's quilt

Randa asked me to custom quilt her braids quilt for her, what a joy as her quilt was so nicely put together. We decided on a flowing Sally Terry freehand feather in each braid with a bit of wiggle ruler work in the sashings. The borders got ruler work of 'ghosting' in of the braids. And just look at that wonderful texture created on the back of the quilt! Hobbs 80/20 batting, glide thread on top and Sew Fine in the bobbin.
Thank you Randa for letting me quilt it for you!

Fun, Fun, Fun

Ok so I never grew up, I still like dolls, LOL.  I have been busy making 18" doll clothes that fit the American Girl Doll for my craft sales. They are so fun to make! This little crochet hat came from a pattern here. The skirt/vest are from a Simplicity pattern, the Tshirt I took 2 different patterns and combined them.
The brown/blue dresses and the orange/pink are a pattern from here. The pink/brown is her pattern also except that I added the sleeves from another pattern for a different twist.
Today I am trying a new pattern out so stayed tuned!

Piecing time!

It feels sooo good to be back piecing again! I had been quilting so much trying to get all the donation quilts done, well I have 3 left that might just be seeds for next year. Anyway I have had fun working on these 6 table runners.
Starting on the far left is one I created after getting inspired by one on Pintrest, the next one is a spin off of a quilt pattern called Fractured in the Quilting Modern book. The next 2 leaf ones are a spin off of Cherryroll vine wallhanging from Cherrywood fabrics and I thought why not make table runners. And the last 2 are my own design using the linen squares that were already cut and given to me by my friend Cynthia. She had made a quilt and these were leftovers. I used the interfacing method of applique where you sew interfacing onto the squares and then turn them right side out and I used the hand applique stitch on my Janome Horizon 7700 with smoke invisible thread and it really does look hand appliqued!  Off they go into my 'to be quilted' pile now.
