Last week's finishes

A couple of my finishes from last week. This yellow/gray one I really had fun quilting using designs from Angela Walters book and class I took from her last year at MQS. The piecing pattern can be found on her site also. I used Hobbs 80/20 batting and glide thread.

And I am happy to say that I sold it already-to a good friend of mine :-)  Someday I am sure I will make another as it was so fun!

This one is all machine appliqued, then quilted. It is a Joined at the Hip pattern. A great patriotic wall hanging. I also sold this one too!   Linking up at Stitch by Stitch

And I am working on this quilt, I pieced all the blocks in January at retreat and am working on the borders now, yeah a WIP off my counters very soon!!  Linking this one up at Freshly Pieced WIP

Quilts, Quilts, Quilts!

I seem to be finding it harder and harder to take time to post these days. I am getting ready for a spring craft show, I don't do the spring ones every year as things don't sell as well as fall. But I was in the mood for springy things and the modern quilts seem to fall in that category a bit. So first up is this little yellow quilt I made using a charm pack. I browse Pintrest quite a bit for ideas and that is where this one came from. Lots of fun quilting it too!  Last week when I took these pic's outdoors our deck was clear of snow, not so this weekend, but we only got a couple inches unlike up north where they had a foot + and our son couldn't make it down this weekend :-(
This is also made using a charm pack, these solids are from Connecting Threads. The pattern for this quilt is Charmed Squares
30 's prints gone Modern is what I am calling this strippy Kaleidoscope quilt. I had tons of fun quilting this one, lots of work but so fun!
And a close up

Happenings...

Oh yes last week was a busy week, our DD and DSIL had grandson #2!! So we babysat the not quite 2yr old part of the time. The other part I managed to get the bindings on the last 3 donation quilts and got them delivered to Ronald McDonald house, where they were well received. I donated 17 this year, what an awesome feeling!!
Now that I have all those quilts done and delivered I am putting together a few things for a spring craft show that I have to deliver to in a few short weeks, YIKES I better get busy! But first a pic of one of the wall hangings I also finished for that.
