It's not fall yet, but...

I was just in the mood to work with my orange, golds and black because I think they are just striking together. And I wanted to try out this EQ7 tutorial over at Connie's ever since she posted her valentine runner and I immediately thought of making one in fall colors. Thank you Connie for a great tute and idea!!
Here you see it without the applique leaves...

and here the leaves are on. I really like it either way. I can just see this in lots of seasonal themes. It was pretty quick and easy to piece.

A close up of the quilting, straight line ruler work on my longarm on the black strips. Free motion leaves and loops in the oranges. Glide thread on top and So Fine in the bobbin, Hobbs 80/20 batting.
I just want to say that I have so enjoyed the linky parties and all the wonderful people that visit and comment on my projects-Thank you all so much!!!

  4. I love this. I showed it to a friend who also fell in love with it and she is going to make something very similar now, but hers will involve acorns I think. Thanks for the idea.
