Five out of six isn't bad

This is finish number 5 for the 4th quarter goal I set here.  This little flimsy is from a pattern on Esch House Quilts called Cobblestones. I used only 3 fabrics for this quilt which makes picking out the fabrics really simple. But then you combine that with an easy to piece pattern and you have a winner!

This is what it looks like today now that it is all quilted and bound.  I was having a ball quilting serveral tops using an allover meander swirl/feather from a Judy Madsen video so why not do it to this top also!  I modified the feather technique to the Hooked on Feather style(Sally Terry). No backtracking, which works wonderfully when you are in a hurry. BUT I also added in a few of the backtracking feathers. I had to as I made a boo boo and didn't want to rip it out, so by doing more it looked like it was supposed to be there!!

  1. Wow I love this quilt and the quilting Vicki! No boo-boos visible anywhere my eyes can see...I thought at first it was just a 2-colour quilt until closer inspection. Beautiful!

  6. The quilt is really nice, but it's your quilting that makes it outstanding. Very nice!
