Folk Art Quilted Traditions Blog Hop

When Suzy, a fellow Island Batik Ambassador, asked who wanted to participate in her Folk Art Quilted Traditions blog hop presenting her new book I jumped at the chance!
Suzy and I agreed to meet, for the first time, in a town half way between her and me(at a quilt shop-surprise!) in August. She brought her new book to me in person;-)  When I got home I couldn't wait to sit down and page through the book.  She has 12 applique patterns plus 3 projects to get you started.  In addition to that, she gives you lots of tips that work for her in the applique process.

I chose to do the table runner in her book since I love making them.  I went through my stash of batik's knowing I wanted something that reads fall.  Here is what I came up with.
Isn't it a gorgeous design!  If you love applique this is a book you should have in your library.

                                                                   A close up.

Thanks so much Suzy for allowing me to do this!

Suzy is having a give away of her book with 4 batik fat quarters!
