Thursday I declared a play day in the sewing room, I could choose to do anything I wanted. Most days I am sewing/quilting something to put in my Etsy shop. So Wednesday night I looked and looked through my pins on Pinterest and in my quilt downloaded patterns etc. Just waiting for something to jump out at me that begged to be made. By the time I went to bed I still hadn't figured out what that would be. I wanted it figured out so I could just jump in and do it in the morning. Thursday came around and while having coffee and browsing the internet again it hit me...I have been wanting to start one of Cynthia's Two Bits quilts scrappy style.
Here is my design wall as of Thursday night. Eight scrappy gorgeous blocks done! I love them! There will be more joining them, sometime. No hurry to finish it so I'll take my time and when I need a break from the every day sewing I will make a few more. But gosh it was so fun!! Now I just need to find my bright orange and yellow bags of scraps:0
I have barely used Pinterest the last couple years and I used to be so good about pinning my projects there and spent so much time adding things to my boards!
ReplyDeleteThe blocks are lovely! I've admired Cynthia's quilt too. I pieced many black & white 3" finished 9 patches several years ago and decided this would be the perfect project for them. I just need to do it, happy stitching!
