One blue pumpkin placemat panel turned into a wall hanging.
Additions I made were the two gold sashing to the top and bottom of the panel itself. From there blue and white triangles and surrounded all that with a brown. A very skinny white sashing was added before the final blue border with matching binding.
I was amazed I had two blue prints that coordinated with the blue plaid I bought to go with the panel.
Some might say it is too early to work on pumpkins, but hey I already had someone purchase a turkey table runner. So it seems it is never too early to work on any season if you are in the mood!
I am pretty pleased I jumped right in and used a piece of the new acquisition, that doesn't always happen. I had the backing fabric in the stash.

You did amazing designs with those placemats. I also bought that set of placemats last year and put one on each end of a very long table runner with a tatw chain separating. I think I made them into rectangle trip instead of squares.
ReplyDeleteHere is the runner if you want to see it. https://scrapboxquilts.blogspot.com/2025/11/tossed-leaves-runner-valeries-string.html
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I love that it is the fall theme without being orange and gold, im sure someone will snap it up. The proportions of the border pieces are perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love those blues and the gold with the center panel. This one will definitely get snapped up quickly!
ReplyDeleteThose were my favorite of your recent acquisitions. And no, it is never to early to purchase for an upcoming season.
ReplyDeleteI love blue with fall colors! So, so pretty, and how clever to use a placemat. You made a really nice design, and your stash cooperated nicely. I never think it is too early for fall sewing or for Christmas sewing!
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki! I just adore the blue pumpkin wall hanging. You know it's meant to be when you have matching fabrics in your stash! I just sold a pumpkin runner - it's JUNE. Pumpkins are never out of season, and anyone who like blue will love this. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

ReplyDeleteBlue Hubbard squash is as blue as that pumpkin but it's not as pleasingly-shaped. Congratulations on cutting into a new piece of fabric right away!
