Land of the Free

It was so much fun making this patriotic panel into a wall quilt. I played around with a couple different layouts for borders on it in EQ8 before settling on this one. Friendship stars plus red, white, and blue stripes.

I was so in love with how it came together that I told my hubby that if it didn't sell I would be okay with keeping it. I listed it on Saturday and it sold on Monday!

The lady bought it to give to her brother who is a Vietnam Vet. I am honored.

See it looked pretty good on the wall in our living room;)

I had a great blue and white fabric for the backing. I have a different patriotic panel that I plan to work on this week yet. Might even get started today since I don't have to cook tonight, hubby is taking me out for dinner, I think Texas Road House.

Linking with Wednesday Wait Loss and perhaps some parties on Friday too;)

  1. The layout you decided on looks sharp! The proportions are perfect for the panel and it’s a beautiful finish.

  5. That is a beautiful quilt, Vicki! I would have a hard time selling that one, too. Enjoy your dinner - that's also one of our favorite places to go!

  7. Love that border!! Need a full runner with a similar pattern??! It’s gorgeous! And love Texas Roadhouse - I keep forgetting about them since it’s a bit of a drive. I could live in their rolls and cinnamon honey butter! 💖
