Little by little I have been working on these blocks for table runners that are either fall or look great anytime on antique tables. I love throwing them up on the design wall to arrange the final strips that go in between each block and then a round on the outside to finish it off. The pattern is Cornerstones in a book from Calico Printworks that I have had for ages.
And then there were four table runners ready to be folded up and wait their turn in line for the longarm.
It is going to be hot today, I am going to take my little oven outside and bake cookies this morning.

Lovely quilt blocks! I love the colors :-) And great idea for the cookies. Your oven is very cute!
ReplyDeleteThose are pretty, Vicki - they definitely do have an antique look to them. How hot is hot for you this time of year? We have been in the 60s (and even into the 70s a few times) most of this month. Makes me feel like we're living in Arizona after all!
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki! How cool that you can move your oven outside to avoid the heat, or to keep it outside! I just baked 3 dozen chocolate chip cookies for Chase (5) and Colt's (6) birthday celebration. There are only 4 cookies left! Enjoy! Love your table runners-to-be. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteThose table runners sure look great! Being able to bake outside to not heat the inside of the house is great and cookies are delicious in any weather!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteThose blocks make such pretty runners! I just love that pattern. What kind of cookies did you make?
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely tabel runners, Vicki. Perfect for fall decorating.
ReplyDeleteOh, clever idea to take the oven outside. I like the table runners, pattern & colors. Thanks for sharing in Sew & Tell.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors in those quilt blocks and that little oven looks neat!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of taking an oven outside, but I bet those cookies are good! Your runners are looking great, and I love that you can put them up on your design wall! Fun!
ReplyDeleteOh, that is funny, taking the oven outside to bake. I do love your tablerunners, all ready to be quilted!
ReplyDeleteYour table runners are great, Vicki. Love the beautiful fall colors and the block reminds me of an Irish Chain/Log Cabin/Courthouse Steps all combined! Great job. You can send some of those cookies my way. It was hot here this week too, but I did manage to use my new stove to make some delicious soup and cornbread! Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love those colors!!! I might have to go digging for something similar.
