Blue and purple batik and a baby panel

I just finished piecing and quilting this batik quilt for a local fabric shop. The pattern is called Pegs from Mountainpeek Creations, this is a very easy and fast pattern. I will definitely be making it again someday. I used Airtex 80/20 batting, glide thread in a bluish gray and an off white. Ruler work on the border, but everything else is freehand.

This is a panel and I added pinwheel blocks with sashings and then borders to make it into a nice size baby quilt. Airtex batting and glide thread with freehand quilting.  Just got home from delivering them to the store and she loved them and asked me to do another baby panel, so I chose a girl theme so stay tuned next week I should have it done.  Linking up to Freshly Pieced

  1. I love both quilts! I've got a thing for batiks and your quilt is just lovely. And I love how you added the pinwheels to the panel. So cute!

  2. I love the blue one--the feathers are so perfect and really add a lot of interest to the quilt.
