Just a quick post this morning. I loaded this baby quilt on the frame this morning and will get to quilting it as soon as I get home from doing errands. Think I will do a dwirling freemotion design from The Pajama Quilter DVD, have not done this in a while so will be fun to play again. There sits my glide mint green that I will use on top.
I am continuing to fill my craft show boxes with some patriotic runners. This runner was inpired by this quilt I then mocked my version up in EQ.
And this wall hanging is made using a 4.5" tumbler template. Orginally I was going for a table runner but with this size tumber it was too wide for my liking of 18". Next time I will use the 4" or maybe the 3.5" tumbler. but I think it made a very cute wall hanging. The inspiration for it came from this flag quilt
It's WIP over at Freshly Pieced today so stop over for tons of
beauties.

Wow, Vicki...turned out great! I like the slight muted print for the white..kind of gives it that "heritage" look instead of just white. I really like the table runner. My son could use a table runner type thing on his work bench for fine piece work he does...hum.. I feel a christmas gift coming on! (and thanks for the mention!)
ReplyDeleteGreat table runner!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are in for some fun when you are finished your errands. Can't wait to see your quilting! And the tumbler projects.... Each is a very nice patriotic piece, Vicki. One could be the runner and one a coordinating wall hanging. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty patriotic projects (say that five times fast). Do you quilt your small projects on the frames?
ReplyDeleteOoh fun baby quilt! Can't wait to see that finished! I am loving your patriotic stuff too! Great work!!
ReplyDeleteOh those flag runners are darling Vicki! :) I love how they turned out!
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up to Fabric Frenzy Friday!
