Here are my 2 versions, both in Batiks. But you could use any fabrics of course. I really want to make one with regular cotton quilting fabric soon.
So many of us like the fall season for various reasons, cooler weather, kids are going back to school. Or we love the sight of leaves falling to the ground in gorgeous oranges, golds and browns. These can be made in so many color schemes, in batiks or not. This is a quick easy pattern to whip up if you need something ready for fall which is only a month away!! It measures 16" x 43".
Use up some scraps for your leaves! My leaves are raw edge appliqued on after all the quilting is done. However you decide to applique it you will enjoy having this on your table for the entire fall season!
And here is Wendy's version-thanks,Wendy, for testing. It came out fabulous!! Love that main fabric choice.

Very nice, Vicki! I'm sure this will be a popular download from your shop :)
ReplyDeleteBoth are pretty.
ReplyDeleteI like all 3 versions!!!
ReplyDeleteHow in the heck did you write that pattern so fast?! Love the design and I can see it in fall colors or spring!
ReplyDeleteI really like this design. Thanks for linking up with Oh Scrap!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a neat pattern, Vicki! I love it in the batiks!
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting to see this pattern in regular quilting cotton, but I think batiks are perfect for leaves because of the subtle patterns and shadings. I really like the curved and the how the veins are integrated into the leaves. It is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI like your leaf runners. Nice pattern.
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty Vicki! Batiks are the perfect fabric for the leaves, and I love the modern feel of the runner. You do a wonderful job of appliqueing after the base is quilted. I'm going to try that one day soon.
ReplyDeleteI read about your pattern on Wendy's site and hopped right over to Craftsy to buy it. I really like it. So far all I have done is print it but I will begin pulling fabrics for it tomorrow. Nice design!!!
