She came, she saw, we talked!

Yesterday was such a fun day.  Blog friend, Wendy who blogs at Pieceful Thoughts, came over to sew/chat/laugh today.  There might have been some chocolate involved too! We have been trying to get together for a couple months now, it was good to finally be able to do that.

Wendy worked on her projects, while I put binding on 5 runners.  First I finished up more of the pumpkin table runners.   I thought I had the perfect lighting outside when I took these, but I didn't check them on the computer until it was dark out and found out it washed them out a bit.  The backgrounds are a black/grey mixture and looks darker in person than here.
If you are a regular follower you have seen me make these before, so this is just to show you I have been busy making more;)

The next to get binding were these snowmen.  They look like one quilt here.

But they are really three table runners.
This is one of my patterns, Through the Window, that you can find in my Craftsy shop.

I chose 3 different border designs to quilt.

  3. The border quilting is really great! So how do you choose those? Have you been quilting so long you just have a bunch of different options in your head or do you look in books for inspiration? Or online? How do you decide? I can't seem to make quick decisions to save my life and all of these look soo good!

Great pieces you put the binding on and always enjoy not only the piecing but your quilting as well.

  8. I'm just a teensy bit jealous that you and Wendy had such a fun day together! But I like you both so much that I am mostly just so happy that you got to play :)

  9. Good Afternoon! You managed to get a LOT accomplished while visiting. It only makes me wonder what Wendy got done . . . but I imagine she will share on her blog. You have to show us your set up for your sewing studio. You have room to host sewing friends? How many one may wonder?! We actually have three machines set up all the time . . . so we could host only one friend. HAHA! Love these runners, especially the pumpkin ones. ~smile~ Roseanne

  11. All of your runners are so cute! I really like the way the pumpkins look with the dark gray, even though it’s darker in life.

  17. A direct-drive saw usually has less torque than the other designs, so it is more likely to slow down during aggressive and demanding cuts. tool reviews
