The pattern is from Karla Alexander at Saginaw Street Quilts published by Cut Loose Press. Anyway the pattern was adorable and I had to get one made right away. But in the process of wanting to use only red and green for the trees I messed up and didn't cut quit right and if I cut another set of them I could end up with 2 runners almost identical. So that is what I did, pieced two of them on Monday and quilted them this morning. I put the binding on one of them right away, got photos and listed in my Etsy shop. Within 15 minutes it sold!!!! So I hurried and bound the other and got it listed.
I chose to keep the quilting simple and get a great texture with my standby hook swirl. It was so refreshing to be making something so different and new to me!!
I'll leave you with food for thought-pun intended!! But seriously don't you think these guys should be hiding out and not right in front of my house!! Ok I admit this was a couple weeks ago before we had snow on the ground. HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of you. I am so very thankful for all my blog readers and commenters!!
Oh my goodness, I love this! I have almost all of Karla's books, she designs such fun things. I really must get this pattern but didn't find it on her site, so I'm off to search!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great runner for Christmas! I love this one. So glad you had a fun visit. Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
ReplyDelete15 minutes! Wow! I think this pattern should be a staple for your table runner shows. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Christmas tree runner. Two more sleeps and I get to put out the pineapple snowman runner I got from your shop.
ReplyDeleteThose turkeys are funny. They aren't one bit afraid of the scarecrow either.
Happy Thanksgiving!
such a cute table runner and those wild turkeys how cool - we used to have some in our backyard but I haven't seen them in years.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this pattern! I wonder if she sells the pattern digitally, I'll have to check it out. I need a pattern for Christmas placemats and this looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so glad you made it and it sold so quickly! How fun is that?! I think the four of us need to crash the Quarter Inch party again sometime! Boy, that is quite a few visitors in your yard!
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki! What a fun and cute runner. I can see why it was snapped up . Of course, the fabrics are spot on cute and HOW COOL to get a two-fer. Sweet. Get that second listed now - quick like a bunny or turkey or deer hopping away from the hunters. You are definitely one of my blessings!! Happy Happy Thanksgiving to you and your peeps. ~smile~ Roseanne
