Five out of 7 Q2 FAL done

This is number five finish out of seven quilts I listed for Q2 FAL.  I am very pleased to be this far along.  Only two more to go!!

I used a freehand feather design that I learned from a Patsy Thompson DVD.  This was executed on my Nolting longarm.

I had the perfect backing in my stash.  It was one I picked up for a good price at SR Harris and was just wide enough to use for this quilt with no piecing.  There were leftovers from the jelly roll I used that could have been used for a scrappy binding.  However with all these fun colors I thought there needed to be a tone on tone to stop the pretties from escaping.  Therefore, I pulled a pretty lime green from the stash and got it bound the same day it was quilted.

This is a Meadow Mist pattern called On a 'Jelly' Roll.  A fun and fast quilt to whip up.  This was pieced in February while on our camping road trip.  This finished at 49" x 69" and is now listed in my Etsy shop.

And look it is finally getting green here in MN!

I will be linking with FOTO FUN, Whoop Whoop, Finished or Not Friday and Q2FAL

Hope you all have had a good quilty week, I sure have.  There will be more finishes to tell about next week, so I hope you'll stop back:)

  3. Hi Vicki! WOWEE! Number five out of seven completed already in quarter two. Holy moly - you still have most of May and all of June to finish the last two. Big congrats to you. I just love the pretty colors in this quilt, and the backing shows off the feather design so well. Some will definitely love this very soon. Happy Mother's Day and Happy Friday!! ~smile~ Roseanne
