My pineapples have really piled up in the last few days. I now have 12 green blocks done. Here is the first batch that you saw me working on in a previous post.
And below is the second batch I finished yesterday. I only had a small batch of my green strings with me so there are repeats but I am ok with that as they will be scattered with blue pineapples. Yes I have 10 blue ones made from the summertime sewing. I worked up a design in EQ8 and I only need 10 of each color for a lap size. So I will have 2 green ones for seed for a future quilt;) Not sure if I will go ahead and get these to flimsy stage or take a little break from these and do something else.
Your pineapple blocks in green are gorgeous. LOVE Accuquilt!!! That die is on my list of wants. I didn't use all the dies I got on sale last year for Christmas. I will put it off another year. Way to use those scraps and make something pretty. Can't wait to see your layout.
ReplyDeleteThose are some nice looking blocks, Vicki. I look forward to seeing what else you took with you to AZ.
ReplyDeleteThose blocks are so pretty, love the greens. Pineapple sounds really good, I'm putting it on my grocery list!
ReplyDeleteLove those pineapple blocks! Those should be making a big dent in those string collections.
ReplyDeletethat is the 2nd pineapple quilt I have seen today - nice looking greens
ReplyDeletegreat progress - those seem very fiddly... but I love how they look
ReplyDeleteAre you paper piecing these or assembling "freehand"? They'll certainly take a bite out of your green stash!
ReplyDeleteThat pineapple looks delicious! Lovely blocks, with blue it should make a wonderful quilt. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

I like your repeat fabrics sprinkled here and there through the blocks! I think that ties everything together in a scrappy quilt. And yummy pineapple, too!
ReplyDeletePretty green pineapple blocks. I finished a scrappy one earlier this year, why is it so difficult getting around taking photos?!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on all those pineapple blocks, Vicki! That is an intense block!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are looking great. I avoid pineapple blocks because I think they will take too long, but you sure whip them up pretty quickly!
