I give thanks for being able to work with panels and come up with border ideas for them. Sometimes they can be a bit wonky so you have to work with them by spritzing them with water, sometimes a little starch and a hot iron. This one wasn't to bad so it went quickly.
My additions to this panel start with the skinny green sashing and then added in the gold, orange and neutral HST's. I surrounded that by a small black border and finished with a colorful border of mums. It looks so pretty on my quilt hanger than I kinda hate to see it go, LOL. But I will let it go as I have too many seasonal ones already.
I am getting low on this backing fabric, I bought several yards way back and love using for the fall sunflower quilts and runners.
What a beautiful quilt, I love the panel and you have framed it nicely with these different borders. Cute pumpkins and stars too!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very pretty panel, I'd be reluctant to let it go too. Love the ginghams on your pumpkins and stars.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely wreath panel, havent seen it before. You make great eye candy to begin my day!
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty mini quilt! I like that little fall quartet, too!
ReplyDeleteYou sure used your time well. The panel quilt looks terrific. Again, I bet it goes fast! I like your little pumpkin quilt. Is that going to your Etsy page also? Have a great week. I'm looking forward to what comes out of your studio next!
ReplyDeleteThe wreath has the most gorgeous fall colors. Great job in transforming it into a wall hanging.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful panel, Vicki! Your borders are perfect for it - especially the mums. I'd want to keep that one, too. Maybe you could make another one of these? 😊
ReplyDeleteThe panel wall hanging puts me in the mood for fall! Those new blocks look awesome. I can't wait to see what they become.
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki! Oooh, love those gingham pumpkins! You must like that new triangle method for hanging quilts. I'm certain it will fly out of your shop! My latest finish is 57" wide - I think that is too wide for triangles, don't you? I'm thinking I'll have to use the two-sleeve method instead. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
