Christmas Trees

This is a new project, never before made until the past few days!

Five Christmas tree blocks made using two dies from the 8" cube from Accuquilt. This makes flying geese so easy!  I added a polka dot sashing to the sides of the tree before surrounding the block with red, green, white stripe.  The outside border consists of holly and chickadees, because chickadees sit in trees.

The backing needed just a bit more than the 44" WOF so I added a green polka dot strip in the middle of it.

  3. Is it just my imagination, or do those trees sparkle?! I love the chickadees in the border, too. Very cute!

  9. Yes, I was admiring your beautiful stipple quilting just like Kat was. What a fun project! I am remembering -- vaguely -- that the holidays felt closer at this time of year in Minnesota than they do to me now in the SWELTERING swamp of Florida. Okay, I exaggerate -- I am merely swamp adjacent, and yet the sweltering is real. ;-). I love your Christmas tree runner and it looks like it was a fun and satisfying quick project for you!

  11. Another winner. I like that you turned the trees so both sides of the runner are "right." Excellent new table runner.
