Another busy week in the quilt studio. Saturday I worked with blocks from another panel. This panel had eight of these blocks, I picked the ones I wanted for this runner. Then added my flying geese trees on the red background.

I've been kitting up a few things for my winter sewing. These two runners are part of those items. However I needed to quilt these so I could applique them soon. I am sure you might guess what holiday they are for. The quilting and binding happened on Sunday.
I had yet another order for a Cinderella pumpkin wall hanging. So Monday I decided to make two again since I had the fabric out. The quilting/binding happened Tuesday. My customer took the brighter orange one, the other is in the shop now.
Wednesday I quilted the Christmas table runner.
All ruler work except for the tree.
The metallic on these blocks make it very festive for the holidays.
A little piecing of fabric for the backing.
And made my own jelly roll from my stash of black and whites. These are for winter sewing of a Missouri Star quilt.
Thursday I didn't accomplish much of anything, ran an errand in the morning. And a friend came over in the mid afternoon. In between that all I did was prep a backing for another runner. Right after supper I ran to the basement and gathered a few Halloween decorations for the entry way. Some of the fall things stayed as I wasn't ready to pack them away yet.
This is on the other wall in the Entry.
I have plans of what to make/finish this week and more things to kit up, we will see if that happens or I get derailed, LOL.

That runner is really pretty, love the colors, and the wall quilt is so cute! Your Halloween decorations look great. Outdoor decorations are going on up and down our street in preparation for the 3-block trick-or-treat in our neighborhood. People come from nearby cities to attend - it's a big affair. We are cranky old people and keep our lights off because Halloween candy has gotten way too expensive. We did take our littlest grands around to all 3 blocks last year, and that was really fun to see all the decorated houses.
ReplyDeleteI haven't really been ready yet to hang up the Halloween quilts either. Maybe I'll get that done on Sunday. I love what you did with the silver/red runner. Very elegant looking. Having the base ready for Easter applique is so smart.
ReplyDeleteLove your entry way display. That spider is sure an integral feature of your display! Well done to again finish a couple more princess pumpkin table runners. They are just as cute as the previous couple you made!
ReplyDeleteLove all of these!!! The pumpkins - they just steal the show this time!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have definitely been busy! That's a pretty winter runner with the red, gray, and white combination. The homemade jelly roll is impressive - does your Accuquilt do that? Looking forward to seeing what you make with it!
ReplyDeleteThose are some nice finishes, Vicki. I am in LOVE with the Cinderella pumpkin runner. Your Halloween decor is so cute. What is the framed piece next to the white pumpkin?
ReplyDeleteyour fall corner is looking so festive - the runners with the flattish pumpkins look good
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finished items, Vicki. I like the trees added between the blocks on the TR, so pretty. Love your pumpkin wall quilts. Beautiful Fall / Halloween decor. OMG! I just discovered that big spider! lol, and cute witch.
ReplyDeleteYou are very busy! I really like the Christmas table runner. It's very elegant.
ReplyDeleteYou do such lovely work, Vicki. I especially like the winter one with the red, black, and silver. It could stay out for all of our long Minnesota winters!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and fun fall/halloween decorations at your house! Nice start on the Christmas projects too. I am still in fall mode and have not thought much about Christmas yet. Looks like you are also ready for Spring…. Gail at the cozy quilter
ReplyDeleteAll of the runners are beautiful! Your fall/Halloween decorating is beautiful, too!
ReplyDeleteThings are hopping over there! Do you keep track of how many sales you have for each quilt?
ReplyDeleteAaw your foyer is so festive and pretty, Vicki. I love seeing the stitching and quilts displayed together. Your runners are so pretty. Those Cinderella pumpkins are the cutest. It is good to start prepping for your winter stitching. I have been looking through my projects as well. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas table runner is gorgeous. You've been super busy so taking a day off makes sense, even if it means slowing down just a little. I used your quilt first, applique second on my frog for the idiom challenge. It was slightly messy on the back but I'm keeping it so no big deal. I'm curious how you make it neat on the back too.
