An inspiring class

Tuesday evening and all day Wednesday our local longarm guild had the pleasure of having Judi Madsen, from GreenFairyQuilts come and teach us 3 classes. There was inspiration galore in quilting the Custom Sampler, Fillers, and Modern meets traditional. And of course she brought along tons of samples, and quilts. Her sister Amy came as her assistant, they both have the sweetest, funniest personalities. I am so glad to have been able to go and learn and see such wonderful work.

First Judi would draw on the dry erase board showing us her path and then she stitched it out. We had a hubby of one of the members of our guild running the camera and sending it up to the big screen TV so we all could see it wonderfully.

At the end of class on Wednesday they cut up their samples and drew names and I was one of the lucky people! Look she signed it:-)

I even got my pic taken with Judi!  That was thanks to quick thinking Doreen, a fellow blogger and friend who joined our longarm guild.  Yes we got to meet for the first time in person at the class on Wednesday morning. So fun meeting another blogger!  Doreen has a bunch more picture's of judi's work on her blog if you want to see more :-)   I can't wait to get time to just play around with what we learned.
