I just couldn't resist these little cuties any longer. While we were in Spearfish this past August we took a little trip to Belle Fourche, South Dakota. It was there in a packed little quilt shop that I found this panel and couldn't pass them up. I think I got two.
I used the asterisk block in the four corners, because I thought they looked like snowflakes. You can find the asterisk block at So Scrappy. I flanked the black and white gingham with a tone on tone red. A pretty quick make and still so festive. Did you notice my little Gnome doll (left center)? He was made by a friend a couple years ago and is made on an empty yarn cone. His beard is part of a mop and his hat a stocking!
I like to put a split hanging sleeve on smaller wall hangings that way you only need one nail in the center. And here is another hint, if you ever hang a quilt and the bottom doesn't stay flat against the wall, add a little double stick tape to the wall and press your quilt to it.
