Comparison quilts at MQS

MQS was great fun. I bought mostly just thread from Fil-Tech and Superior Threads. I was working in the Community Outreach booth longarming quilts to be left in the Cedar Rapids community for those in need.  It was rewarding and lots of fun since I got to work with a couple of my friends:-)  Another friend came over from WI and went down to the show with me, we had a good time catching up on things.

Our local longarm group called SEAMS had challenge quilts hanging at MQS in the Comparison challenge (not judged). We started with identically pieced hangings and then we secretly quilted them to show how the same hanging could look so different with just the different quilting.  I showed mine a while back and several of you asked if I would show the others. While I don’t want to ask everyone for permission to show theirs up close,  a couple of my friends said I could share their’s with you. So here is one from Laurie S.

  and one from Vicki M.

and mine once again.

And here is the overview of most of our hangings.  I couldn't fit them all in my camera viewing area!
It was so fun to see them hanging, similar but different because of the way each of us chose to quilt it.

There is always some great eye candy at the weekly linky parties, I'll be linking up with some of them!  Check the links on my sidebar.  Hope you are all having a great week!
