Urban beads and a baby panel

I finished up this last weekend, the pattern is Urban Beads by It is a lot of sewing and trimming but I love the results. I chose to do it a little different than in her pattern-Jenny used all solids(12) to make hers.  I used 3 solids(aqua, majenta, black) and 3 prints(chartruese), but in doing this I had to have more fabric of each-you will need 45" of each as you will be cutting a bit differently doing it my way. And there will be waste. Doing it Jenny's way there is no waste.
Also I whipped up this cute baby panel, all I did was add the last 2 borders and quilt and bind. Both of these quilts are samples for a local store.  Happy Quilting and thanks for stopping by!

  1. Wow! I like how the beads become the background for your colors. Happy quilt!

  2. Very cool! Love your twist to the pattern and the colors are super fun! Thanks so much for sharing it on our Linky Party!

I appreciate your taking time to leave comments. I try to respond to them all, however, if you are a no-reply blogger I am not able to. If you would like to fix that try this link for help.
