Urban beads and a baby panel

I finished up this last weekend, the pattern is Urban Beads by Sewkindofwonderful.com. It is a lot of sewing and trimming but I love the results. I chose to do it a little different than in her pattern-Jenny used all solids(12) to make hers.  I used 3 solids(aqua, majenta, black) and 3 prints(chartruese), but in doing this I had to have more fabric of each-you will need 45" of each as you will be cutting a bit differently doing it my way. And there will be waste. Doing it Jenny's way there is no waste.
Also I whipped up this cute baby panel, all I did was add the last 2 borders and quilt and bind. Both of these quilts are samples for a local store.  Happy Quilting and thanks for stopping by!

  1. Wow! I like how the beads become the background for your colors. Happy quilt!
