Round and round we go

I have been wanting to use my 10 Degree wedge ruler to make one of these round toppers. Most of the time I see tree skirts like this and I decided to downsize mine to a table topper, so I took a stab at what size I needed to make my strip sets.  Made my first cut and realized I wasn't going to get the look I was after unless I made 2 toppers-one the reverse of the other. Next worry did I have enough fabric to do that!!! Wow I will just make it, I think :-)  I need 36 wedges to close the circle, guess I better get back to the sewing machine and make more strip sets.  You can see what each one will look like here...

    This is just fantastic! Love those cute colors! I would applique those on a pillow as a half sun or something...

    I have been seeing those Christmas tree skirts, too! Loving the idea of making a table topper in this style. Looking forward to seeing your progress. PS. Those little booties from your last post.... Adorable!

    I have a catalog sitting right here on my desk with the intent of purchasing one of these wedge rulers. Looks like fun stuff can be made with them!

    And making double the projects (2 toppers) all at once is a fun process too! Fun idea!
