Two finishes and two WIP's

I actually have a couple finishes to show you today.  They will be donations to our local neonatal soon.  The purple/green one was pieced earlier this year in July using this pattern during the quilt along.  The blue one is Leslie from the book 3 Times the Charm. Both fun, quick little 36" quilts to whip up. Don't cha just love the striped bindings!

I made good progress on my Disappearing hourglass top with a total of 10 blocks done now. Hope to work on them a bit more today. And can you see the pile of quilts in the bottom right of the photo-there are 3 more neonatal quilts that need binding and one that needs another border before quilting it up.

I just couldn't help myself I had to start yet another project. I saw a neat string quilt and thought, 'Wow I have lots of strings in bright colors'-you see it was a very gloomy day here in Minnesota. One of those days where they sky is just a gray color-looking like it could snow. Well it did, a few flakes and I do mean a very few! Working with the bright fabrics sure helped get through the day.  I will add the star shapes in white. I have several more to go, so this will also be an ongoing project :-)

I also had time to play with my beads and made myself two bracelets.
This one is now finished ;-)

First thing today I need to quilt a customer wall hanging, then I get to play!
Linking up with Fabric Frenzy Friday, and Can I get a Whoop Whoop! Links are listed on my left side bar.

Have a great weekend everone!

  1. Very nice projects! I have also made some Disapp. hourglass blocks, but only for a runner.

  4. Such cute finishes. I especially love the hourglass blocks in the little quilt which form arrows.
