Valentine runner-first finish of 2018

I wanted to create a Valentine table runner for my Etsy shop.  So I looked around on the net and found a cute paper pieced heart by Pieced By Number and asked if I could make it into a table runner to sell, the answer was yes.
After paper piecing five heart blocks I added a 1" spacer of gray to make it a bit longer. before adding the pink and red borders.

I followed the lines of the fabric in the border to quilt the piano keys.

I had the perfect backing fabric in my stash-well the whole table runner came from my stash. No trip out in the cold 5 degree day to get any of it.

You can find the free pp heart HERE, she also has a bunch more patterns in her Etsy shop.

  1. You made it - all finished for friday! It looks great by the way! I don't think you have to get permission to sell items made from a pattern. That is the point of a pattern - to make things. Pattern writers only have copywrite. Which means you can't sell their pattern.

  2. Gorgeous. Did you find the paper piecing to go quickly? That is one of my 'learning opportunities' for this year.
