Bloggers Quilt Festival-Fall 2018

Amy Ellis is hosting the Fall 2018 Quilt Festival and I am entering Missy-my giraffe quilt.  My regular followers have met her before. But if you are visiting my blog for the first time, welcome and meet Missy!
















 I am an Island Batik Ambassador, and that means that Island Batik gives us fabric and monthly challenges in which to use that fabric.  Missy is made from a new collection called Jungle Cruise that should be in the stores right now.  She was my August project. 

Missy is all raw edge applique.  I used a pattern called My favorite earrings by Hissy Fitz Designs.  The pattern has 2 giraffes but my wall was in need of only one.

    One giraffe is just right, she is a beauty and yes I do love those eye lashes but those spots are amazing. The IB batiks are just perfect.
