Recently I was asked when my first sale is-not far away at all. It starts Oct 5th and goes for one week. I am excited for it but also nervous thinking about all I want/need to get done yet.
Little by little I am trying to get some panels ready for the fall craft sales. The panel is the center plus the orange border with the circles. All the borders from there out is what I added from my stash of fabrics.
Last weekend, as we were taking a little drive, we ran across a pumpkin wagon so we stopped and bought these three. My hubby thought I was crazy wanting that big with gourd looking one. I think it adds character to my display. No, the scarecrow is not going to keep holding the wall hanging. I just thought it was cute for the photo shoot;)
You can see some of the quilting here. I like using e's and l's in one inch checkerboard borders. First I quilted everything and then decided the orange border with the circles needed something. TaDa-just quilt around the circles while ditching, it worked perfectly!
The panel center received swirls.
Now you get to see more of the cute scarecrow my friend made for me. I love decorating for fall.
Sunday I cut out parts for five purses and sewed part of them together and they were ready for quilting this morning... I was almost done when a storm rolled through and I needed to shut down my longarm fast!
These three Gobble it Up! runners are ready for quilting-perhaps tomorrow.

You are really on a roll at your house! Everything is so adorable. I love what you do with panels. We had tornadoes come through last night, but, thankfully, none were that close to me. We did spend some time in our basement, though. Happy Quilting!
ReplyDeleteI hope you do well at all your craft sales this fall!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to think about Halloween when it is so warm out. Good luck with your sale!
ReplyDeleteLove your swirls on the pumpkins!
ReplyDeleteLove you pumpkins, happy little guys.
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun seeing your projects, and I'm still amazed at how quickly you get them done. Hope all your craft shows go well. The little scarecrow holding the quilt was a great idea, and I like that quirky white pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll have a very successful sale with cute pieces like this! I assume you'll sell the the purses there, too?
ReplyDeleteThose swirls look so pretty on your pumpkins - I just might steal that idea for my yet-to-be-finished pumpkin quilt.
ReplyDeleteI have a couple shows in Nov, but I have so much stuff to take that I hope I can sell most of it. I always sew faster than I can sell, mainly because sales are few and far between for me. I am sure you will do great Vicki because you make such nice things! I love that scarecrow!! Lucky you to have a friend make you him.
ReplyDeleteLots of fun goodies. My FM quilting stinks (I can't even draw it on paper, so, not going to happen with machine and thread).
ReplyDeleteOh...I love to see what you are doing and your quilting. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteyour quilting looks lovely!
ReplyDeletethanks so much for linking up!

Craft sales are fun but a little stressful. Good luck! I love your quilting, it's so inspirational.
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki! Your front porch looks so welcoming. That is a friendly scarecrow, and that was nice of your friend to make it for you. I think my favorite of all your runners are the Gobble It Up ones. Although these pumpkins are pretty darn sweet - the quilting looks fabulous! ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteSuch happy pumpkins - you'd think they enjoyed the carving process :-D
ReplyDeleteWhat a lot of wonderful things in your post. I do like your panel quilt, and your way of quilting. Thanks for sharing that.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute fall projects and decorations. I wish you the best getting ready for your shows.
ReplyDeleteThose are the cutest Halloween wall hangings Vicki, I know you'll sell all of them in no time at all, good luck!
