To Do Tuesday #38

Seriously I didn't accomplish much this week.  I sewed but didn't finish a whole lot.  Like you haven't seen these before, LOL  But they sell, and I make more of the same;)

The feathers for this turkey runner were already made which speeds up the process a lot.  This was the last set of feathers. I may need to make a few more.

I haven't made one of these for a while but it's predecessor sold this week and I had another pieced. So all I did was quilt and bind it.

And if you stopped by yesterday for my day with From The Heart blog hop you saw this little wall hanging finish. There is more inspiration today and tomorrow. You can check out the line up at Just Let Me Quilt.

So folks that is pretty much it for my week. Oh wait I did take time to play just a smidge.  I recently bought the log cabin die from Accuquilt.  I just had to try it out, these are 8" blocks.  I have no idea, yet, what they will become.  What is your favorite layout for log cabins?

For this next week I am hoping to work on a donation quilt,  and then if more runners need to be replenished in the shop I'll do those to. And maybe more of the log cabin blocks. For now I need to get a post ready for Wednesday.

Thanks to Roseanne and Sue at HomeSewnByYou for hosting To Do Tuesday each week.

  1. Your pair of snowmen are too cute. I have the log cabin die, also, and found that it cut some of the pieces with a bit of a curve. Next time I use it I'm going to starch the heck out of my fabrics before cutting. Have fun playing!

  2. You do so well keeping up with items for your shop - the runners are so fun, and so appropriate for the upcoming seasons. Boy, I have to think about my favorite log cabin layout, I haven't done one in so long!

  4. Howdy, my friend! I just love the wall hanging you shared yesterday and today. Those snowmen are just cute. I am not a fan of the log cabin block. It made a ton of them when I first started quilting (Eleanor Burns). Several sweatshirts, a queen-size quilt, and a purse - I got log cabined out, I guess. So, no suggestion for you but it's time I tried them again - they are versatile and I even have a PINned quilting design for them! ~smile~ Roseanne

  7. The turkey tablerunner sells because it is so cute! I'm glad the various tablerunners you make are so popular in your shop! Those log cabin blocks are pretty - did you like the Accuquilt die for cutting the strips?
