Tuesday Weekly Goals

Oh my goodness I didn't mean to be away so long!!  But seriously I can't believe it is a whole month ago since I posted, the time has flown by.  The break was much needed and I hope you are all still here and will come back to read my posts! I will try to get back to posting once a week, but no promises😀

There has not been a whole lot of sewing happening either. But I did piece this diamond table runner.  The idea came from Bonjour Quilts HRT blocks.  I have made these blocks into table runners before, however, this time I used my creative grids half rectangle ruler, easy peasy and fast!

Remember back in October that I was making these log cabin blocks?

Well I made one more, LOL.  These are done using my Accuquilt log cabin die.  For now I am just having fun making them and will decide on a setting later on.

And because I wanted to do something different, I got out my coloring pages and picked this one to work on a little in the evening.  Have you ever played with the fun coloring books out there? It is quite relaxing. I am using colored pencils.

What's on my agenda this week?  Perhaps I will make another diamond table runner and more log cabin blocks. I am sticking to very low key goals as I am enjoying a break;)

  1. I bet you're having fun in other ways! :) That diamond table runner is really neat, and I like your log cabin blocks, too. I bet it's nice to have the Accuquilt to keep all those skinny strips consistent!

  2. Hi Vicki! It sounds like you've been enjoying your break. That Christmas diamond table runner looks great. Those coloring pages look like quilting design practice with swirls! Glad to see you back even if it's only temporary. {{Hugs}} Thanks for linking up today. ~smile~ Roseanne

  6. Nothing like a break when you are running low on motivation or energy. (Although, I don't know if that was the cause of the break!) I love the log cabin die but I don't own it. I borrowed a friend's several years ago. Nice coloring. Your diamond runner really speaks to me. Glad you are back!

  7. I enjoyed seeing your runner and log cabin block. It is fun to know that someone else is doing the same thing and in their own timing. I haven't worked on mine but am going to tonight.

  8. Hi Vicki, I love your log cabin, and the pretty block by Kirsty really made a pretty runner.
I had some issues with my blog this past week and missed sending you a reply for your comment on my blog - so thank you - yes Beverly does look happy with her quilt, and it makes me so happy!

  11. A break is always a great way to recharge the creative juices. I'm sure you'll be back in the swing of things soon. In the meantime, that diamond table runner is oh so pretty! Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
