Weekly goals-finished or not

Did January just fly past in a blur?  I sure think it did.  Last week I mentioned I wanted to piece another diamond table runner and try to make some more log cabin blocks. Was I able to do that?

Here is the newest diamond table runner all pieced.  One would think I would be tired of using Christmas fabric at this time of year.  But I have sewn out of season for years so it doesn't bother me at all.

The log cabin blocks are moving along with a few red ones and a few blue ones. I really like this setting don't you?

A new project was started also, it's always fun to start something new.  I had this gray/black strip set setting around for a while and it finally spoke up and said 'get on with it would you'!!  So I listened this time.

This week I should be able to finish up the black and gray blocks and assemble them into rows. And move the log cabins onward too.

If you would like to see what other quilters did this week join me at the To Do Tuesday linky party at HomeSewnByUs blog.

  1. Typically, January just drags along or at least it feels like it. Not this year...whew! If I didn't sew out of season then I'd never get anything done LOL. Yes, I do love the setting of your RWB log cabin blocks.

  2. Really love that log cabin so far and yes, I love the setting. Log cabins always catch my attention, esp in smaller piecing. I did a few pretty close together so I got a little burned out on them but I'm feeling it might be time to start another. So, so traditional and always loved!

  6. I like that star setting, too! And the grey and black blocks - love! Are those made by sewing straight strips together and then cutting on an angle?

  7. Hi Vicki!! Love, love, LOVE, L.O.V.E. the log cabin blocks in that setting. Geez, I never in a billion years would have thought to lay them out like that. You almost make me want to make some log cabin blocks just for those stars! Hmm, now what are you going to put in the corners and is this going to be a runner or something bigger?! Love the black/white/gray project, too. Lots of eye candy in this post. Thanks for linking up today. ~smile~ Roseanne
