Donation quilts for Hands2Help

I needed to dig out the quilts that I have made to be used for the Hands2Help charity drive this year.  Often during the year, when I have time, I piece the tops and quilt them later.  So it is time to start getting backings together so they get in line for the quilting machine.

Here are a few I have pieced so far.

This one used lots of scraps. Not the prettiest quilt but it will keep someone warm.

This one used 5 fat quarters plus the sashing and background.

I loved using the Creative Grids Half Rectangle ruler to make this fun, colorful quilt for a child.

I loved the process so much I made another using different fabrics.

This is made using the same ruler but a different layout. Lots of possibilities.

There might be a few more pieced still in the closet, but these were easily accessed!  If I get these quilted up in the next month I will see about the others.

It is check in week for the Hands2Help project so I am linking up at Sarah's blog, Confessions of a Fabric Addict. Sarah has hosted this fun event for several years.  Are you participating this year?
Also linking up at Oh Scrap because that first quilt is definitely scraps!

  1. Those are wonderful Hands2Help tops and soon to be quilts! I like your first scrappy top as looking at all the different fabrics is something I like to do!

  2. LOVE that super scrappy quilt, Vicki!! I'm looking forward to trying out the Half Rectangle ruler that I bought not long ago. Your quilts are sure to be well received!

  3. Those are great quilt designs, Vicki! You've done a lot. I like the scrappiness of that first one - they're always my favorites!

  4. Very nice! Gotta figure out what I have that is going.....

  5. I love your scrap quilt :)

I am working on my H2H quilts too. I need to get a wiggle! Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!

  6. I remember most of these, especially the Preppy pattern one. So bright and colorful! They'll all look so great quilted up and ready to comfort someone :)

  7. Hi Vicki! I just love the layout for the quilt top that looks like an argyle sweater! And the half-rectangle tops are so fun and colorful. They all make just wonderful donation quilts. ~smile~ Roseanne

  8. I love all of the quilts, Vicki and I'm sure they will provide much needed quilty hugs.

  9. Thanks for sharing these. I got a couple of ideas for some new veterans quilt projects for myself!

  10. These are all such fun and cheerful quilts. I got mine mailed late last week and it feels so good to share some quilts with those in need.

I appreciate your taking time to leave comments. I try to respond to them all, however, if you are a no-reply blogger I am not able to. If you would like to fix that try this link for help.
