Have you noticed how gingham is all over the place these days? I love it! And then Nancy from Grace and Peace Quilting kept showing the gingham quilts she has been quilting, ooh la la, I fell in love with it even more. So I had to try making it into a table runner. I cut my strips at 3" x WOF and made strip sets and then cut those in 3" increments. After quilting my table runner is 42" x 12 1/2".
I love that I even had a green cup for staging! Actually I drink coffee from that cup almost everyday. I had been thinking I was going to applique some flowers onto this finished runner. But now that it is done I decided to just leave it as is. It's fun to just drop everything and try something new!

I guess you could say this was a DrEAMi moment so I'll link up with Sandra too.
I too love the new way to make our own gingham designs. Although I have not tried it yet. You know that long, long list of want-to-dos. Your table runner looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteOooh yes, I've always loved the look of gingham and I love your tablerunner ! The colors are just right.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful gingham goodness, Vicki! Table runner--yes!!! Watch out though, gingham is addictive!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love those gingham quilts that Nancy has made, and now I love this one too! I like that little print you snuck in, and I'm glad you decided to leave it as is! What a fun thing to see each time you pass by your table!
ReplyDeleteI have been seeing a lot of gingham in crochet/knit blankets as well - nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute and love your quilting on it.
ReplyDeleteI've been interested in those gingham designs, too! Yours is so pretty and refreshing in the greens, Vicki. Great idea for a tablerunner - that gets me thinking!
ReplyDeleteSo simple, but so beautiful when you find the right fabrics! Green is always the right color. LOL
ReplyDeleteAnd yet another version of gingham - I do love this effect. It has become so popular lately!
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki! I just LOVE this runner. I've seen all those fabulous quilts that Nancy has been working on and sharing, too. Each one of them made me want to drop everything and get busy on my own version. These fabrics are just perfect for the Buffalo-print-look. Simply fab. This is going to sell like hotcakes. Who doesn't need some pretty fresh green on their table?!! ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done
ReplyDeleteOk, your table runner is absolutely darling! Very inspiring!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! I love gingham and had such fun with the the gingham blocks and quilt top I did for Rainbow Scrap Challenge in the past months.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful table runner and gingham goes with anything. I can see it with flowers appliqued on it, too, but the simplicity of this is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely and I'd not realised it was a craze at the moment. Might look into doing one too. Take care.
ReplyDeleteLOVE it, Vicki!!
