Gingham and Trees

I hate to admit that I actually pieced this last December and never finished it up.

The original pattern has only flying geese(not a tree) in the border with a star in the corner of each border.  I decided to switch it up a bit and do flying geese trees. The pattern is by Primrose Cottage Quilts on Etsy.

Gingham has been so popular that I couldn't resist!  It is Christmas without screaming it at you.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  This is my Table Scraps entry at The Joyful Quilter.

  1. That is so cute!! The gingham makes it so cheerful, and the basic design will work for any holiday. I could picture carrots instead of trees at Easter. LOL

  3. I love that one, Vicki! I think flying geese make greet pine trees, and they are perfect for the border. You could definitely use a tabletopper like that for more than just December. Glad you finished it up and shared it!

  5. Hi Vicki! Just when I think it can't get cuter than the snowmen . . . you throw some gingham in the mix. This has got to be my favorite topper of all time . . . well, one of my favorites. Let's leave it at that because I can mentally ask myself what about the hexi toppers?!! LOVE this! It doesn't scream Christmas and yet it's perfect for the holidays. Gosh, this would be adorbs in a rectangle, too. Great job - and it took you a YEAR to finish and share?!!! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  6. Another great finish. I was at a quilt store Friday and looked at all the gingham they had on sale and didn't grab any. Now I wish I had. Oh well. I'll just come admire this if I need a gingham fix.
