Looking through the UFO-To-Be-Quilted, now if it is in the to be quilted pile is it a UFO or a quilt in waiting:0. I think this one might fall in the UFO as it has been a couple of years since I pieced it and then stalled, not sure why exactly.
The pattern is by Connie at Freemotion By The River.
Easy stippling in the background, then I used a curved template to quilt the diamonds.
The backing is a batik that I bought from Marshall Dry Goods.

I love this little topper! It's a cheerful finish, for sure. And your visitors are adorable! They know they can strut their stuff because it's too far away to Thanksgiving. :)
ReplyDeletethose toppers are all so pretty. Love wild turkeys wish we still had them wander through our place.
ReplyDeleteLooks like those flower power flowers from the late 1960's early 1970's. Nice table topper. Fun with those turkeys. Too bad it isn't hunting season.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty one! I love the blue and green combination, and your background fabric with the green dots is perfect. Love your photo of the turkeys, too - what a fun sight!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous table topper. Connie does have some fun patterns. I did a pattern testing for her a few years ago. I think this is one you'll have to repeat. Those turkeys sure have magnificent tail feathers. Our turkey flock seems to have moved on now that things are greening up. But we had some mating going on about a week ago.
ReplyDeleteYou are living on the wild side! Great turkey pictures -- I hear wild turkey is not ad tasty as farm raised. I'll stick with the farm raised. Nice table topper. Hum, I haven't bought anything from Marshall Dry Goods recently. And, I probably won't for a couple more months. (fingers crossed that I remain strong.) Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I have some of that blue flowered fabric, too. :)
ReplyDeleteCute topper. :) I really like the backing!
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki! I'm glad you pulled this out of the UFO pile. The fabrics are so pretty and they scream happy Spring to me. Get 'er listed, girl. You can't sell it when it's hiding in the closet! Those turkeys are huge! I had one run in front of my car Friday and it was taller than my hood. Yikes. I'm so glad I saw the black blur out of the corner of my eye. I'd have hated to hit it. Happy Monday! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice little table topper. The colors are just me. I'm so happy Bloglovin' is working again so I can find all the blogs I love.
ReplyDeleteYour table topper is so pretty! It looks like you appliqued it with a satin stitch? What a great idea! I’ve only machine appliqued with a blanket stitch, but that satin stitch sure looks lovely! Lovely quilting! Aren’t Connie’s patterns wonderful?
ReplyDeleteYour visitors’ story is humorous! I chuckled as I pictured them gobbling!
Love the flower power table runner! Oh, and the turkeys can put on quite a show - glad you were entertained!
ReplyDeleteYour table topper is spectacular, Vicki. Love the blue flower fabric in it. Oh my are those gobblers magnificent. I love to see them strut and then gobble. Great photo!!
ReplyDeleteLove the flower power in the middle, Vicki! Quite a show with your local turkey gang!?!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty topper! When we lived in southern Minnesota near a large park we had our own little flock of turkeys. The dogs would chase them and they'd fly up to the top of the fence!
ReplyDeleteWhoa!!! those are huge turkeys!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love you topper - I am glad you pulled it back out!
QIW, I like it! I also like the table topper - great colors and quilting. AND there were turkeys in my friend's backyard. Her husband wants one in the freezer, but this weekend was not the one. Those are beautiful turkeys you've shown. How could any hen resist? =)
ReplyDeleteI thought I had commented on this post, but apparently not (sigh). I love the table topper with that happy little daisy in the center! Those toms are sure looking handsome, strutting their stuff. We have some around here this year, too, but only one tom in the group!
ReplyDeleteI love this table topper, Vicki! That daisy makes me smile!!
