Happy 4th of July!

For all my U.S. blogging friends Happy 4th of July!

Here is how I decorated my entry way seasonal corner this year.

The wall quilt is made using Accuquilt's Carpenter Wheel die, 1.5" strip cutter and 2.25" strip cutter(binding).  And their star die for the applique. This was the first one I did for a tutorial on their blog. Since then I have made a few more...

As you can see I replaced the blue stripe with a red gingham. The background was changed also.

On the following one the background was changed yet again.

Are you off to see fireworks on Tuesday night?  We have the two grandsons for the day and for a sleepover, we'll take them to the fireworks. It will be fun but I know I will be tired on Wednesday!

  1. That is a really fabulous wall hanging! I love how you added the 3 stars in the middle. I sat on the front porch last night for about a half hour and enjoyed one of our neighbor's fireworks. I had a great view as they came up over the roofs across the street. Our city does its big public fireworks show at the lake, but we haven't gone for a few years now. I want to this year however!

  2. That's a great wall-hanging for this time of year! Fun to see the way you changed it up with different reds, blues, and background fabric. We'll walk down to big park near us to watch the city fireworks tomorrow night. It's absolutely my favorite part of the 4th!

  3. So nice, Vicki. You make the most appealing wall hangings and runners. Got the knack.
