Purple maple leaves

I am joining in again this month for the Table Scraps challenge at The Joyful Quilter.  The color this month is Purple and the theme is birds.  I decided to make purple maple leaves using the Accuquilt maple leaf die.  Using the die makes things so quick and easy.

And then I added a few more fall colors to make this runner.  As for the theme of birds this month, well birds sit/nest in trees and the maple leaves are on a tree;)

I might have gotten carried away and made 12 runners identical for my Etsy shop.  Perhaps next month I will quilt one and get it listed. This is my original design.

Speaking of Accuquilt (I am an affiliate) these are the sales right now...

  4. Lovely as always! We have a maple tree in our front yard that turns quite purple in the fall. I'm not sure what kind it is, but it's sure pretty.

  14. Your leaves remind me of a beautiful liquid amber tree at a previous home. Such a great display of colours- the tree and the runner : )
