It was a green day in my sewing room lately. I believe it is not to early to think ahead to coming seasons or holidays. Plus it is always fun to pull out fabrics I haven't worked with for quite a while. Here is what I whipped up...
You all know how much I love working with the 10 degree wedge ruler and you most likely have seen both of these styles I have made before. They are just to fun not to make!!
And just to be a bit different I started with some spring like colors for a donation quilt. You will have to come back to see how it comes out;)
We frequently get deer coming through our yard, these two guys were attacking my pumpkin...
and then they started attacking each other and after several minutes of that this one lost one of his antlers!
Okay back to quilting and off to get more inspiration at these linky parties

I have a 10 degree ruler and have never used it. I will now! Thanks for reminding me.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful deer! Glad you had some impromptu entertainment! Love your greens.
ReplyDeleteWow -- a lost antler over a pumpkin? We live in a suburb so not as many deers as we've had in other locations. Our pumpkin in the back yard is getting no interest. I guessing it is time to get rid of them or drop them in a place more likely to get deer. We haven't ever seen deer on our property. Love the spring colors you're going to be working with. Glad to see you making a lot of progress.
ReplyDeleteoh no lost his antler - they must have been fighting pretty hard. Always love that circle pattern you make
ReplyDeleteNo matter what kind of color combo you use, these are both such striking designs. The St Patrick's Day fabrics are especially fun.
ReplyDeleteDeer!!! Love thme!! your Runner is so cool!! good luck on the spring donation quilt!
ReplyDeleteWoopsie! hahaha. We love to watch the deer in our yard. I appreciate that you are preparing for the coming seasons for your shop. Well done! I love a gal that plans ahead. <3 Thanks for sharing in my Sew & Tell party.
ReplyDeleteTwo cool St. Patty's Day runners!! Wow, those deer! Interesting!!! I've never seen anything like that!
ReplyDeletePretty greens in your runners and spring colors for the donation quilt, too. That must have been quite a sight to watch those deer!
ReplyDeleteYour St. Patty's Day table toppers are gorgeous. Love the pattern, very striking. Not too early to prepare for next year's season. Pretty spring fabric. Poor deer, lost an antler over a pumpkin?! Too funny, but not for the deer! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYou always make nice and festive table toppers. Lovely fabrics for the spring quilt.
ReplyDeleteThe runners turned out so good! You will be so happy to have them for St. Patrick's Day this year. How fun are the deer! We used to have a couple that would come through our yard, but we had some workers over to repaint our kitchen cabinets and I think that scared them off for a little. Hope we see them again soon!
ReplyDeleteWow, poor deer! When I came home yesterday, three ran across the top of my drive just as I was pulling up the hill. I love seeing them! And I love those green table runners! Such pretty greens. Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings!
ReplyDeleteIt must have been fun to watch the deer. I've never seen one lose an antler. Cool!
