Homespun Tumblers

Remember me talking about kitting up projects to work on this winter? This is one of them. I have a lot of homespuns in browns, golds, greens, reds, and blues.  This particular set is all browns/golds. I used the larger tumbler Accuquilt die to make fast work of cutting. The alternate is muslin I had setting around also.

This was an easy project that only took 3 short afternoons to sew up.  I didn't use all the homespuns that I cut so they will be future seed for another someday;)

Two more pair of slippers knitted. I used three strands of sportweight yarn and a size 8 needle for these.  The pair on the left were two shades of blue and a green. The pair on the right were blue, green and aqua. It's fun to mix the colors to see what they turn out like.

  3. Good Friday morning!! It's always nice to see a post from you. Homespuns! I have a whole tote full of them, just begging to be used. Thanks for the inspiration. And your knitted slippers! Those are just the best. I had a pair growing up and they always kept my feet nice and snuggly. What a great way to keep your hands busy in the evening in a productive and worthy end result. Hope you're doing well! {{Hugs}} a bunch, my friend. ~smile~ Roseanne

  10. I love seeing how your kitted projects are coming together. I go on my annual retreat and did not get to kitting, but I am sure it will be ok! Love the warm slippers too, 3 strands is a great idea.

  12. That's a pretty and cozy quilt top, Vicki! Your tumblers go together so perfectly - that's impressive. The only time I tried tumblers, I couldn't figure out how to line them so they were wonky and I gave up!

  13. How do you finish the edge of the tumblers quilt? Do you just cut it straight? Or do you actually finish it with all those points?
