Criss Cross

Criss Cross three yard quilt is a free pattern from Wood Valley Designs. This has actually been done for a month but I just haven't been able to get decent photos. The colors just are not true to what they really are. In real life the ones that appear yellow are a yellow green, the pink is really brighter, the blue is teal and bit darker than in the photos. The background is the only one true in color!

Freehand flower swirl made for a quick and cuddly quilt at 41x52. I am now up to six quilts of various sizes for donation. They will go to my DIL's church group to hand out to those who need a snuggle with a quilt.  It makes me happy to be able to make and give these away. There are at least four more in progress. My goal is twelve for the year.

As always I truly appreciate your comments, I read every one and try to respond if I have your email since blogger is saying everyone is a no-reply!

  1. Oh that is a pretty little quilt! Are those actual freehand flowers, or is that the name of the design? Whatever it is, it is beautiful.
Does my comment say no-reply? Each time I comment on most blogs I try to put in my name and website before I comment.

  3. Adorable!! Isn't it strange how colors just do not photograph true sometimes?

  4. It looks like your close up photos might have gotten the truer colors - so pretty! And I love those flowery prints. That's a sweet finish, Vicki!

  5. Hi Vicki! Oh, what a sweet quilt. Thanks for the closeup of your quilting! I love seeing that. I've been dragging my feet about quilting a sunflower runner. Just seeing your example reminds me that I can do this - just do it. I've been spoiled using a friend's longarm that my skills on a DSM feel lacking. I'll give my white board a shot before I get 'er done. Thanks for the inspiration. Have a great weekend! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  8. Funny how some colors are so hard to photograph. I love this little runner and the quilting is just perfect.
