What could be better than pumpkins and leaves to represent fall than a wall hanging with both.
Jedi Craft Girl really put fall into this pattern, gotta love that. It was so fun to make again.
It's great as a wall hanging, but could also be used as a table topper.
This is the kind of hanging sleeve I do on wall hangings. The split sleeve leaves the middle open so you only have to put one nail in your wall. Sometimes even just a pin or needle will do.
I LOVE pieced pumpkins of any kind! This wall hanging is adorable. Nicely done. The quilting is fantastic. Congrats on your finish!
ReplyDeleteSewing for fall is my very favorite thing, and your wall hanging is gorgeous. Your split sleeve is genius!
ReplyDeleteCute wall hanging. By chance is the leaf a die from AccuQuilt? I have that die and I may have to copy your idea! Is it going to Etsy? It'll go fast! (Well, if people are planning ahead.)
ReplyDeleteLove it - that's a fun blend of blocks to go with that pumpkin.
ReplyDeletelooking forward to the cooler weather of fall - nice pumpkins
ReplyDeleteLove this fall topper/wall hanging. The quilting really shows on the back and it is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBring on the pumpkins and leaves. This quilt is a burst of Autumn joy! Love it, Vicki.
ReplyDeleteYour pretty orange leaves and pumpkins are making me crave fall fabrics! But I'm not done with summer quite yet. (Of course, I'm the one making a Christmas in July project, lol!) Anyway - that's a great finish, Vicki!
ReplyDeleteThat wall hanging is so pretty! I love the quilting you chose. I like the split hanging sleeve too. It takes away the need for two nails/pins, whatever to be perfectly aligned to hang straight. :) Thanks for joining Sew & Tell.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty little quilt, and can be used so many ways. Good tip on the hanging sleeve as well!
ReplyDeleteHi, my friend. I was thinking about you because the EAA is ongoing! I'm wondering if you two are partaking?! LOVE all the orange and the scrappiness and everything about this project. Plus, you shared your hanging sleeve again. Did you know I just had to add one and was unsure about how to do it? I gave it a try . . . but I'm not happy with the result. I should have just checked out your method. I know it's tried and true! Thank you! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing combination of blocks and colors for fall! Great pattern and great construction! I am sure you will enjoy it
ReplyDeleteI love all of your oranges in the pumpkin and leaves. It's a great fall wall hanging.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute table center/wall hanging, Vicki!!! I like to use just a single needle or 3M command hook to hang them by, too.
ReplyDeleteTwo of my favorite things - pumpkins and leaves!! Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings.
ReplyDeleteThis is a cute piece...the pumpkin and leaves are perfect together! That is the perfect way to hang a piece like that.
