A variety of projects for different seasons. Colorful Christmas lights on black fabric is the focus fabric on this round wedge topper. From that I pulled red and green tone on tone fabrics and the black accent fabric has metallic gold dots for a bit of glitz.

For the backing I found more Christmas lights fabric but with a white background. It wasn't enough for the whole backing so I added a bright green and made it striped.

The first of three St. Patty's long table runners is totally finished. Number two is quilted and bound, the third one needs quilting and then those two will get totally finished as I need more in the shop.
And it's backing. You can see that I appliqued after quilting.

Yes I am planning ahead a bit by getting some St. Patrick's items finished. I just need to write a listing for them. All in time;) I do have an order for one of these in different prints, I 'll be working on that one today.
I have a very busy week of sewing/quilting, kitting up more projects and a yucky event on Thursday-a root canal. I hate dental work. I usually have a sedation for root canals but I can no longer go to that endontist as his prices went sky high and they are not in our network. Trying a new one out of town and they don't offer sedation. I will be trying lorazapam and hope it works really well so I don't know what is going on.
Hope your week goes as you plan. Linking with Monday Musings, Design Wall Monday, Sew and Tell Monday

Eek! I don't do root canals well, I have to be sedated. Good luck on yours. And as always, love the runners.
ReplyDeleteSt Paddy's Day? Not Valentine's Day. You are zooming forward. I'm still thinking of Halloween. But I'm about to switch to T-Day. Hope you forget all about the dental work while it is happening but remember how much better the mouth feels a few days later. I hate dental work too.
ReplyDeleteSt Paddy's day not Valentine's Day? You are really ahead of the game. I'm still thinking Halloween but T-Day is starting to take over. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteYour runners are always so pretty, Vicki! Love the Christmas light fabric. I'm sorry to hear about the root canal procedure - hope all goes well and it's over and done with before you know it.
ReplyDeleteTHose are some nice runners for the shop. Good luck with the root canal!
ReplyDeleteThe checkerboards are always a great design choice, no matter the shape of the runner. Awesome. That Christmas light fabric is so fun in the round one. Hope the root canal goes well. I'm one of those people who have a huge fear of dentists, but the young dentist who bought the practice closest to us about 5 years ago has been so good. He tolerates my phobia, and is OK with doing sedation if I want. LOL
ReplyDeleteWow, cool centers/runners, Vicki!!! Sorry about the root canal. You're a strong young woman and you can do this.
ReplyDeleteI always like that circle style runner
ReplyDeleteI do wish you the best with the root canal, Vicki . I hope you are not in too much discomfort or pain right now. Your quilts are gorgeous and I love that they are reversible too. You always work with the loveliest of fabrics. You are a finishing machine! Have a wonderful day. Hugs
ReplyDeleteYour Etsy shop is filling up for Christmas gift shoppers!
ReplyDeleteHaving had a few months of dental visits I can empathize though mine was ‘just’ a crown…but other complications and I don’t take freezing well at all… Cute table pieces!
ReplyDeleteI love metallic fabric, especially Christmas themed! I think the green with the lights on the backing looks perfect. Those are pretty runners.
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for you to be "out of it" for your root canal. I only had local for my last tooth pulling, and although it didn't hurt, the pressure, the sounds - UGH! Insurance is so stupid. Why doesn't someone tell them that tooth care often prevents much more serious effects on the body!
these are fun - I really like the accent on the Christmas one
ReplyDeleteI love all of these, but especially that first one! I hope your root canal went well as could be expected without sedation. I'm with you, I hate dental work. Hang in there. Hopefully you are recuperating well. Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteYou are busy with your shop items, they look great as usual. I know the dental work is in process, so sorry you have to go through it.
ReplyDeleteYour table toppers are wonderful- quite unique! Oh my, the dental visits. Best to you!
