The start of a new pair of socks. The teal color is a Kroy sock yarn that was thinner than some others I have used. So I paired it with a skinny 2/24 acrylic/wool in gray. Why gray you ask-because it was the best combo that I had in the stash! This is my Slow Stitching Sunday project.
We are staying put for a few days because of the 7-8" of snow we got from 3 am Saturday until Sunday 6 am.

Hubby had plowed it mid morning on Saturday and then early this morning again. The sun is out now but it's only 22 degrees and going down to 5 deg. tonight:(

Pretty snow, but brrr! Perfect sock knitting weather. Are you getting antsy to get to Yuma? Have a great snow day, Vicki!
ReplyDeleteNice colour combo for your socks. Very little snow here, but if we drive east for an hour, they have over a foot of snow. Gail at the cozy quilter
ReplyDeleteI can see where that snow would delay you
ReplyDeleteA beautiful winter wonderland but oh so cold! Those socks will be toasty once you have finished them. Have a great week, Vicki and stay warm.
ReplyDeleteI think the teal and gray look great together. The picture of the tractor really shows how much snow you got……great idea to stay put if you can!
ReplyDeleteThat's an incredible amount of snow. We haven't seen much snow since we lived in Oklahoma City back several years ago. We had a foot of snow one Christmas Eve, and I loved every minute of it. Hope you have good weather this week!
ReplyDeleteThe snow is pretty. We have about 5", which is more than we got all of last winter I think. The combination of colors of yarn will make a lovely pair of socks.
ReplyDeleteI love that you use what you have for these socks. I have way too many skeins of yarn waiting for socks. Hum, maybe I should finish the sock I have on my needles and then I'd have a pair!
