Playing with my patriotic fabrics is still going on. This first one I had pieced last year and didn't need it in the shop so it was waiting for this year. That makes for a quick finish, and it is gone already. I have one more I can quilt and get listed and then I will have to start making them from scratch.

Won't you join me in checking out what others have been doing over at Finished or Not, Beauties Pageant, and TGIFF
During the last couple months I have worked on a few patriotic table runners. I wanted to save them to show you during our July 4th week. For those of you in the U.S. this is Independence Day week.
Hello quilty peeps, how are you doing with your projects this week. I am pleased that I finished piecing three more of my stars and stripes table runners. Yes these three are identical which makes it really easy when cutting.
This time the blue fabric is different from the previous two which you can verify right HERE.
In the evenings another pair of slippers were produced. I talked with my DIL this week to see if her group was able to give out the slippers I previously gave her. She said a big YES and they could use more! I am so happy about that. So I will continue to knit away. These are red 4 ply with a gray sport weight yarn. These would probably fit a 6-8 year old.

There is just something so satisfying to play in my patriotic bin of fabrics. And then when a friend gives you several coordinating fabrics in half yard increments, so sweet. She is a quilter herself but she prefers to come to my house and buy several table runners. And then last year she asks if I would like some patriotic fabrics that she no longer wants, well yes indeed I said!
