Something for me...

Well for my sewing machine would be more accurate;)  I decided to take time to make a new thread catcher/pincushion/tool holder.

I have had a combination one before, but the tool holder went all across the mat so every time I sat down it was in my lap.  I had seen this one before and decided I would like to try it.  In a couple hours yesterday I had it done.  I really like the big pincushion.  Today I decided to make a new mat for my Janome 7700 to sit on, after all the work she does, she deserves something cushy right?

It is so portable that it can jump across the room(with a little help from me) and be next to my featherweight.  But since the featherweight is so tiny, she deserves to have a mat more to her size, so I made one for her  too.

Did you notice how these accessories coordinate with my curtain under the countertop?
