Christmas in July blog hop

I started following a new blog this year and when Carol asked if anyone wanted to participate in her Christmas in July blog hop I jumped on board!  Christmas decorating comes easy for me...I LOVE snowmen so of course my project is snowmen.

These little guys are scrappy white to cream pineapple blocks made using the Creative Grids pineapple ruler.  So fun to make.  A couple months ago I had one day with nothing on my schedule so I thought I would just make one snowman to see how he went together.  And well he was so stinkin' cute I had to make 4 more!!!  Yes I was able to make them all that day.

After I quilted this wall hanging I added button eyes, and used an elongated triangle fancy stitch on my Janome 7700 for his nose.  The ties on his scarf are appliqued on at this point also.

Here they are hanging out on our red door.

I used a pattern from  Cottage Rose to make this cutie!

Thank you Carol for hosting and for letting me join in the fun!

If you are looking for even more snowmen ideas I have these patterns in my Craftsy shop.

I hope you are hopping along and getting all the cute Christmas ideas, here is the list of other bloggers.

  17. You're branching out with your snowmen designs! These are super cute, I especially like their pointy embroidered carrot noses! I'm glad your pineapple guys are white and not pineapple colored. Don't eat yellow snow :)

  19. You ARE the queen of snowmen projects. They are all cute. How inventive of you to use an embroidery stitch on your machine to accomplish the nose as that had to be a lot easier than appliqueing a skinny, point one!

  27. Your snowmen are indeed stinkin' cute. Great choice on your straight line quilting pattern, also. Christmas projects always seem to have such a draw for me too. Love your orange door. Our front door had a stint at that bright color, too. We switched to a bold bright blue just for a difference for a while.
