I am pleased to present my next three finishes😊 Keep in mind I had pieced this one over a year ago and it is just 36" square. Yes another neonatal quilt as well as the next two. I love doing this size as it makes me feel productive and I can try out new patterns quickly! I wish I knew what pattern I used, if you recognize it please let me know.
I freehand quilted the Dwirling design on it.
I love the striped binding.
A Moda Bake shop pattern in my own style. It is supposed to have background sashing between the rows, but, I was working with a limited yardage of white with yellow polka dots for my background.
Some simple organic wavy lines kept this quilt soft.
And here they are all ready to be dropped off with the three finishes from my last post.
Since it is the Christmas, season I am going to post one Christmas area or decoration in our home with each post until Christmas. Here is Frosty the Snowman on our front porch.
Six inches of fresh fluffy snow in the backyard. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Linking with several linky parties on my left side bar this week.
I love all those colorful quilts! And the snow is nice at YOUR house!
ReplyDeleteThose are such happy quilts, Vicki! Perfect for a neonatal unit! I should check out if our hospital takes donations like that. I've struggled a little bit to find places for donation quilts (and to complete them!), but the 36" size does sound doable! Love your Frosty! It's so fun to see everyone's Christmas decorations!
ReplyDeleteLovely quilts, so bright and cheerful. I am always amazed at your workflow.
ReplyDeleteWe definitely look like Christmas now, don't we! Your quilts are really fun. I like all three! I have a friend whose daughter is expecting her first, so I'm pondering quilt patterns. Your Frosty is cute! Wendy at piecefulthoughts@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteYour finishes are wonderful! The families of the babies will so appreciate your kindness. You could build your own Frosty with all of that snow! Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteMore cute finishes for charity! Yay! Go, Vicki, go!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree on how great it is to make small quilts like this. You can try all sorts of interesting things: new blocks, new color combos, new sashing or border or binding styles, new quilting motifs. And they are so much easier to wrestle through the harp! Zip zoom bang, they're done and off to help someone's day get a little brighter. Or a LOT brighter, if they get some eye popping color like those great triangles :)
Really, REALLY like each one of those, Vicki...especially love the blue & yellow though. I've never made a blue & yellow quilt yet I love the look. I do hope you find out the name of the pattern.
ReplyDeleteYay YOU for doing so much for so many!!
Don't you just love those long lasting finishes? Great job! I just love those bright triangles! That binding is amazing.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations times three!!! You are on a roll. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Preeti.
These are darling. What a great way to use what you have.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts! Each one is so unique, what a great way to try out new patterns.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun bright quilts, they will be loved!!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's beginning to look like it. (I love this song.) And your three quilts are quite beautiful. I particularly like the color mix of the first one. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki, those are lovely quilts. I'm sure that they will be appreciated and loved.
ReplyDeleteWhat precious quilts Vicki!
