The funny thing is when I got home and I was rearranging some fabrics, I found more in these colorways that went perfectly so I added them when cutting out.
Here is a little neonatal quilt I finished up recently. I used Jayne's wonky charm tutorial to make it.
The charms were part of a thank you gift from Sandra and Julie for participating in a Craftsy Blog Hop they were hosting last year.
One could definitely use some scraps to make your own charm squares for this little quilt. This is a fun and easy to use pattern that I love to make!
Linking with a few of the inspirational linky parties on my left side bar. Hope you will check them out with me this week.
That is so cute, especially with the yellow sashing! I've been wanting to try Jayne's tutorial, too. So many ideas out there!
ReplyDeleteI like those blues and greens you have there. Gonna be a nice quilt!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics Vicki! It will be fun to see what you make with all of them!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics. I have been staying away from the store and you are making it look might tempting!

ReplyDeleteYour new book looks like it will have some cute patterns within its pages. Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteIt will be fun to see what you create with those happy colors! The neonatal quilt is lovely as well!
ReplyDeleteOh, those colors are singing my tune! I wouldn't have been able to resist them, either. Looks like a great book, too. I cut all my scraps into strips so I'm always looking for ways to use them.
ReplyDeleteThose colors are my favorite color way, I can't wait to see what you do with them! Fast projects are always so satisfying, and the neonatal quilt looks like a great way to use up some charms.
ReplyDeleteThat wonky quilt is super cute! Love the fabric you have put together.
ReplyDeleteOh, Vicki. I have those charm squares too. Fond memories. I'd love to participate in another blog hop. It was loads of fun!.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very cute quilt pattern that's new to me. It's great to make charity quilts. I make ones for Project Linus for sick kids. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteAnytime we can make a quilt without cutting up the charms, I'm in! Think that's why my Pocketful of Sunshine pattern is so popular on Craftsy (and it's free). Love to see those charms and great cause, makes me think I need to do something similar with the 2-3" strips Julie and I split that were left over from cutting up those charms!
